Karla Nemeth

In 2018, Gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr. ap pointed Karla Nemeth director of the Department of Water Resources, where she oversees 3,200 people and a $3.6 billion budget. She has worked at the California Natural Resources Agency as the deputy secretary and senior adviser for water policy, and as the environmental and public affairs director for the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.
