Lisa Kabnick is Chair of Global Financial Transactions at Reed Smith LLP, where she has been a partner since January 2003. Previously she was Chair of the Finance Practice Group at Pepper Hamilton LLP. Her focus is on the representation of financial institutions and borrowers in syndicated secured transactions; financing companies across industries, including health care and communications; and international transactions and workouts. Lisa serves on the Board of Directors of breastcancer.org and is a Trustee of The Pennsylvania Ballet. She also serves on the Corporate Partners Board of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the newly-formed Corporate Council of the National Constitution Center, and in the fall of 2008 is joining the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women. She was previously a Board member of Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the Delaware River Maritime Enterprise Council, a Trustee of Marlboro College and was a founding Board member of the Chilean and American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia. Philadelphia Magazine awarded Lisa the 2005 Trailblazer Award for her impact on the Philadelphia region's business community. Lisa is a magna cum laude graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania (Economics) and the University of Pittsburgh (J.D.). Lisa lives in Philadelphia with her husband, John McFadden. Her son, Andrew, attends the Fordham University School of Law and her daughter, Julia, attends New York University.
