Roman C McDonald

Roman McDonald is Founder and President of First Genesis Financial Group, a wealth management firm that specializes in helping business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals in building financial freedom through a comprehensive suite of financial services expertise, strategies, and products. Prior to forming First Genesis, Roman progressed from being an Associate Planner to a Senior Managing Associate with Creative Financial Group. While being the first African American ever to succeed at Creative Financial Group, Roman developed a great wealth of knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, including business and estate planning, charitable giving strategies, and wealth distribution and protection strategies. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University, Roman began his career in the investment arena while working on the trading desk for DLJ Direct. As an advocate for helping individuals and businesses meet their financial goals and objectives; Roman has been able to develop his practice into a trusted and respected resource for his community and client base. With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, his passion and enthusiasm for helping others continues to place him in demand as a speaker for wealth preservation and wealth distribution programs throughout the country. He currently is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the Montgomery County Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. Roman is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the National Association of Guardsmen Inc. He serves on the Mercy Catholic Medical Center Board of Directors, Kimmel Center Board of Directors , the Board of Advisors for the West Philadelphia Empowerment Zone Community Trust Board, The Philadelphia Neighborhood Funding Stream Finance Committee, and the Greater Philadelphia Minority Business Strategic Alliance. Roman is actively involved in charities such as Variety Club – The Children’s Charity of Greater Philadelphia, and World Impact Ministries. Roman is married to Dr. Elana O. McDonald and has two children, Roman Jr., and Ryan.
