Melissa M. Robinson is a Member in the Firm's Charleston, West Virginia, office where her primary practice is concentrated in the area of Litigation and Occupational Safety and Health matters. Her practice focuses on the representation of companies in enforcement actions brought by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. She has represented companies before the West Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission, the Workers' Compensation Office of Judges, the Workers' Compensation Board of Review and the Supreme Court of Appeals. She has also represented the Firm's clients in Federal Black Lung claims and has acted as defense counsel in numerous criminal matters in State and Federal court. Ms. Robinson received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from West Virginia University in 1988. Thereafter, she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1991, graduating Order of the Barristers. Ms. Robinson is active in the community and has volunteered time with the Read Aloud Program, the Boy Scouts, the West Virginia Chapter of the American Lung Association and serves as the Commissioner of the Fort Hill Football League.
