Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' mother, Jacklyn Gise Bezos, died in August 2025 after suffering from Lewy body dementia. In 2000, Gise Bezos founded the Bezos Family Foundation with her husband Miguel (Mike) Bezos, children and their families, and in 2005, they founded the Bezos Scholars Program, helping to offer leadership development programs to outstanding students from the United States to Africa. The couple had two children together, Christina and Mark.
