Kat Maramba is a communications professional who specializes in developing research-driven targeted strategic plans for clean energy and financial services clients. Kat comes to Blue Engine Message and Media most recently from the Climate Action Campaign where she served as operations manager, assisting in daily management of budget, staff and logistics, and as a member of the communications team responsible for producing targeted communications materials use to support member organizations and field activities in twelve states. Prior to her work in communications, Kat developed significant research experience during her time in patent prosecution at the law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Working with clients that included major telecommunications firms and multinational electronic corporations, Kat gained expertise in strategic research planning and data analysis. Kat earned her M.A. in public communications from American University in Washington, D.C. Her capstone project on the framing of financial reform was recognized as a top graduate capstone of 2012. An Ohio native, Kat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology-Criminology from Ohio University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.
