Chad Troutwine

Chad is the founder of three successful companies and a decorated film producer. He is Co-Founder of Veritas Prep, the largest GMAT preparation and graduate school admissions consulting company in the world, which employs more than 500 people in 22 countries. Chad also co-founded Freakonomics Media, a digital partnership with author Stephen Dubner and economist Steven Levitt. In addition, Chad co-founded and owns Spectrum Station, the largest early learning education center in his hometown, Kansas City, Missouri. Spectrum Station provides early education for hundreds of children from infancy through private kindergarten and pioneered a fresh foods initiative. Over the past decade, Chad has also produced ten feature films, each of which earned a theatrical release and premiered at one of the world's preeminent film festivals: Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca, or Cannes. His films have earned two Emmy and three Academy Award nominations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at Veritas Prep, Freakonomics Media, Spectrum Station, the Fishing River Community Improvement District, the Yale School of Management Alumni Association, and the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership. Chad earned a BA from Arizona State University, a JD from the University of Missouri, an MBA from the Yale University School of Management, and an MPA from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he served on the Admissions Committee. Chad is a member of the 2013 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
