Derek M Swaim

Derek brings over 15 years of global M&A advisory and growth equity experience to Aeris Partners. He has extensive expertise advising SaaS, application and enterprise software, technology-enabled services, and internet & digital media companies in high growth industry verticals including financial (FinTech), healthcare, legal, energy and power, communications, and e-commerce. Before Aeris Partners, Derek spent 10 years with Harris Williams & Co., where he was a Director with the Technology M&A practice. Previously, Derek worked with the M&A groups of Goldman Sachs, Broadview International and Berkshire Capital. Derek was also a Board Member of the Boston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, where he started and ran the MBA M&A Case Study Competition for leading MBA programs. Derek received an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business Administration and an AB in Economics from Harvard University, where he earned the John Harvard Honorary Scholarship. While at Harvard, Derek played varsity soccer, where his team qualified for the NCAA Division I tournament twice, and he received All-Ivy recognition. Derek enjoys playing and coaching soccer and hockey and is an avid golfer and skier.
