Daniel Malachuk is a globally renowned consultant, with one of the most demonstrable track records of success who works with business and government leaders on global direct investment strategies. A Big 4 consulting partner for twenty years, at Arthur Young/Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen, Mr. Malachuk founded and served as the worldwide leader for Andersen’s Business Location Strategies practice, a unit within Andersen’s Global Corporate Finance Group. As the lead executive for business location practices, he has managed the business location decision processes for more than 50 global corporations, spanning five continents and more than 20 countries. His clients include some of the world’s most dynamic and significant corporate enterprises, ranging from the very large, e.g., Procter & Gamble, Philip Morris, General Motors, and New York Life, to the young and growing, e.g., Monster.Com, VaxGen, Level 3, and Atlas Air, as well as nonprofits, e.g., NCAA’s headquarters move. This work required comparative assessments of business investment alternatives on every continent, and thorough engagement with public-sector partners. In addition to being ranked among the nation’s top business location consultants, Mr. Malachuk has worked on economic development strategies throughout the world, including Australia, Russia, The Philippines, Malaysia, as well as in North America, including Montreal, Phoenix, Baltimore, and Chicago. Mr. Malachuk also has personally led the development of targeted industry studies for five countries, three states and provinces, and 12 city/county/regions. Currently, he serves as a consultant to CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest real estate services firm, and has recently served as an advisor to Oxford Analytica (a boutique firm specializing in global strategic analysis) and to Dalberg Consulting, Global Development Advisors. Prior to beginning his consulting career, he served as an officer in the US Navy in Vietnam and the Pentagon. He later took a leave from consulting to serve as Director of White House Operations on the staff of President Carter. Dan received his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Hamilton College and a Masters Degree in Finance from the George Washington University School of Business.
