Angelos Angelou is the founder and CEO of AngelouEconomics, an Economic Development, Site Selection, Economic Analysis and Research Consultancy based in Austin, Texas, with an office in Dubai. In its site selection practice, AngelouEconomics has sited over $18 billion worth of capital investment projects from high tech corporate clients around the world. AE has particular expertise in working with corporate clients involved in Renewable Energy, Data Centers, IT, Electronics, Semiconductors, Energy sector and Life Sciences. He holds an M.A. in Economics cum laude from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has also completed 1 1/2 year towards his Ph. D. in Economics at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Angelos is currently an appointee (until 2019) of Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Board of Directors at the Cancer Prevention & Institute of Texas (CPRIT), a $3 billion grant program to find cures for cancer. He has served on numerous boards including IEDC. He is also the founder and COB of the International Accelerator, the first accelerator in the US focused on foreign-born entrepreneurs.
