Ignazio Angeloni is Advisor to the European Central Bank Executive Board on European financial integration, financial stability and monetary policy, and a visiting fellow at Bruegel, the European think tank on international economics. Prior to this, he was Director-General for International Financial Relations at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (2005-2008), Deputy Director-General for Research at the European Central Bank (1998-2005) and Director of the Monetary and Financial Sector Research Department of Banca d’Italia (1981-1998). Mr. Angeloni graduated in economics from Bocconi University (Italy) and holds a PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
