Mark Mitchell

Mark Mitchell is a Managing Member, Portfolio Manager and the Head of Risk Management and Trading of Starboard Value LP. Prior to founding Starboard Value, Mark Mitchell was a Partner Managing Director at Ramius LLC and the co-founder and Head of Risk Management and Trading for the funds that comprised the Value and Opportunity investment platform. Prior to joining Ramius in July 1999, Mr. Mitchell was a Managing Director of BT Alex Brown Inc., where he was responsible for proprietary equity arbitrage trading in New York. Prior to Bankers Trust, Mr. Mitchell was an Associate Managing Director of Wertheim Schroder & Co. and a risk arbitrage trader at Wertheim. Mr. Mitchell was formerly on the Board of Directors of I-Many, Inc., a business software company, and CPI Corp., a company that offers portrait and digital photography. Mr. Mitchell graduated magna cum laude from The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. in Economics, and from Stern School of Business at New York University, where he received an M.B.A.
