Wayne T Franke

Wayne T. Franke is owner of MJWT Consulting, a political and marketing firm in Austin. Prior to owning MJWT, Wayne spent 29 years with GTE, serving in Engineering, Marketing, and Government Affairs. Wayne headed up GTE's Lobby Team in Austin for his last 13 years at GTE. Career highlights include being named GTE Southwest Salesman of the Year and GTE Lobbyist of the Year in 1987 and 1991. He was also a member of Speaker Jim Wright's Congressional Delegation to the Soviet Union in 1987. In 1988, Texas Business magazine named Wayne one of the "Ten Rising Stars of Texas Business." In 1989, Mr. Franke was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Angelo State University. He currently serves on the boards of the Angelo State University Alumni Association, the John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Foundation, and the West Texas Boys Ranch Foundation.
