Alex Wears is a Senior Associate/Treasurer at Collins & Company. She is also the head of the accounting and legal departments. Ms. Wears served in the United States Army for eight years. For the first three years she was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado where she was named Soldier of the Year. She then moved to Washington, D.C. after being hand-selected to work at the Pentagon for General Carl E. Vouno, the Chief of Staff of the Army. Ms. Wears continued in this position for General Gordon R. Sullivan’s four year tour as Chief and then left the Army to complete to her college education. After leaving the Army, Ms. Wears came to work with Mr. Collins at the inception of the business. As the company grew, she progressed from Executive Administrative Assistant to Director of Operations. Ms. Wears took on the added responsibility of the company accounting as she continued her education. Additionally, she taught herself computer networking and subsequently became Systems Administrator. After completing law school, Ms. Wears began work in the lobbying department of Collins & Company. Ms. Wears graduated from George Mason University summa cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting. After passing the CPA exam, she went on to Georgetown University Law Center where she received her J.D. in May 2004.
