Allen Grubman

Allen Grubman is the founder of the firm now known as Grubman Shire & Meiselas. Originally a music law firm, over the last two decades, Allen has led an expansion of the practice into all areas of the entertainment business, and it now stands as the largest entertainment law practice in the world. Since establishing the firm in 1974, Allen has come to represent many of the most prominent individuals and companies in the entertainment industry. In the music sphere he represents, among others, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Sting, Elton John, Lionel Richie, Bette Midler and Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as major record and music publishing companies, iHeartMedia, MTV, Live Nation and many of the most prominent executives in the entertainment and media industry. Beyond the music realm, Allen’s clients include Robert DeNiro, the Weinstein Company, television personalities such as Barbara Walters, Richard Engel, Charlie Rose, Bryant Gumbel and Diane Sawyer, and culture and media entrepreneurs such as David Geffen, Irving Azoff, Les Moonves, Jimmy Iovine, Donna Karan and Martha Stewart. Allen has played a key role in many of the largest entertainment business deals of the last 40 years.
