Michael Messmer

Michael Messmer is Vice President, Government Affairs, at Gephardt Group. From 2004 to 2006, he served as Assistant Director of the Congress and U.S. Foreign Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations. While at the Council, he was instrumental in the development and implementation of a number of nonpartisan initiatives designed to create a higher degree of collaboration between members of the foreign policy and congressional communities, as well as to generate a greater appreciation of the role of Congress in the foreign policy and national security processes.
