Ladd Wiley

Ladd Wiley focuses on health care policy and regulatory issues. Mr. Wiley provides legal and policy advice and advocacy on matters related to life sciences and health care financing and costs. From 2003 to 2005 Mr. Wiley served as counselor to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson. Previously, Mr. Wiley served as principal deputy general counsel at HHS. While at the Department, he focused on a broad array of issues, including food and drug, Medicare and life sciences issues. He regularly interacted with the leadership at the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institutes of Health. Before joining the federal government, Mr. Wiley served as chief legal counsel to then-Governor of Wisconsin Tommy G. Thompson. Mr. Wiley received his B.A. from Cornell College of Iowa and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is a member of the Wisconsin and District of Columbia Bars.
