Amy Chasanov

Amy Chasanov advises clients on environmental compliance matters and also litigates environmental matters. While at Patton Boggs, Ms. Chasanov has worked on matters involving a number of environmental statutes, including the National Environmental Policy Act, Superfund, Clean Water Act, and Safe Drinking Water Act.  She has also worked in the areas of government contracts and administrative law. Ms. Chasanov has also devoted a significant amount of time to pro bono matters while at Patton Boggs. Ms. Chasanov's pro bono work has included issues of sexual harassment, employment discrimination and retaliation, and improving the District of Columbia’s unemployment insurance program. Before joining Patton Boggs, Ms. Chasanov conducted public policy for a number of federal agencies, including the Departments of Labor, Education, and Defense. She conducted program evaluations, quantitative analyses, and proposed policy changes in the areas of unemployment insurance, job training, educational programs, and health care initiatives.   She has written and published in many of these research areas.  She also served as the Deputy Policy Director at the Economic Policy Institute, a think-tank that researches the impact of economic trends and policies on working people in the United States.  Her work there focused on unemployment insurance, raising the federal and state minimum wage, and Social Security reform.
