Sharon Buccino

Sharon Buccino is a senior attorney and director of NRDC’s land and wildlife program. Based in Washington D.C., Sharon has led NRDC’s litigation, challenging oil and gas drilling in Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. She is also leading NRDC’s fight to stop new coal mining outside Bryce Canyon National Park. Her current work focuses on energy policy and transparent government. Prior to joining NRDC, Sharon practiced environmental and administrative law with a private firm in Washington, D.C. She also served as a law clerk for the Alaska Supreme Court. Ms. Buccino earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School and her B.A. from Yale University.
