Kevin Miner

Kevin Miner is an associate in the employment department of Paul Hastings' Atlanta office. He represents employers throughout the United States and abroad who utilize foreign nationals in their United States operations. Mr. Miner’s practice includes working with clients to develop effective strategies for business immigration while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Mr. Miner’s clients include technology companies, manufacturing companies, hospitals and financial services firms. Mr. Miner has drafted key pieces of immigration legislation and has worked closely with the U.S. House and Senate Judiciary committees on immigration legislation. He also has particular expertise in immigration compliance matters, including I-9 compliance, H-1B compliance and prevailing wage issues. He has served for several years on the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) liaison committee with the Texas Service Center of the USCIS, where he works with high-level USCIS representatives to troubleshoot processing issues for AILA members. Mr. Miner also is a member of the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network board of directors, and he has spoken at seminars regarding immigration developments and strategy. Prior to joining Paul Hastings’ national immigration group, Mr. Miner practiced in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, where he advised emerging high-technology companies on both immigration and employment law topics. In addition, Mr. Miner has authored a number of newspaper articles on immigration law topics. Mr. Miner received a B.A. degree cum laude from the University of Vermont, and he received a J.D. degree from the College of William and Mary. While there, he served as the managing editor of the Administrative Law Review, the quarterly journal of the American Bar Association’s section on administrative law.
