Liz Taft

Liz Taft holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Georgia Southern University and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. The East Carolina student body recognized her with the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2003. At the recommendation of the governor, she serves on the advisory board for the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science. She is also trustee of the Natural Heritage Trust Fund, which awards grants to protect the state’s ecological diversity and cultural heritage.
