Executive Director, NYC Department of City Planning
In June 2014, Purnima Kapur was appointed as Executive Director of the New York City Department of City Planning in an announcement made by City Planning Commission Chairman Carl Weisbrod. At the time of her appointment, Kapur was the director of City Planning’s Brooklyn office, where she spearheaded several large scale planning efforts.
