Eve N Sandberg

EVE SANDBERG, Associate Professor of Politics, received her B.A. from Boston University, M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Ph.D. from Yale University. Her research centers on comparative democratization, political party systems, non governmental organizations, and gender studies. Most recently she has written on South Africa, Morocco and Zambia. Her teaching focses on international relations, Third World political-economies, African Studies, U.S. foreign policy, and a a civil-society community outreach practicum that allows students to study not-for-profits and entrepreneurial small companies as well as to provide research for local government officials and area not-for-profit organizations. She received the Distinguished Teaching Award from Oberlin College in 1999 and in 2005 the Outstanding Teacher Community-Based Learning Practitioner Award. She is President of a small consulting firm (www.StrategicResearchInc.com) that provides her with practical experience in the areas in which she researches and teaches.
