Ronald Birch

Mr. Birch is president of the firm which he founded in 1971. He is an experienced civil litigator of recognized superior ability and also serves as a lead arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association on major business contractual and employment disputes. He has negotiated or litigated the resolution of both domestic and international disputes, including matters involving the State of Alaska's export of oil to the Pacific Rim and the claims of the U.S. Virgin Islands against Lloyd’s of London for hurricane damage. He has appeared before state and federal courts throughout the country on behalf of the firm's diverse client base. The main focus of his litigation practice currently involves the employment relationship and its termination. He has also successfully presented claims involving government contracts, the federal-state relationship and general transactional matters. On the legislative front, Mr. Birch lobbies on behalf of clients on land and natural resources, transportation, commerce, defense, communications and appropriations issues before various agencies and before the House Committee on Natural Resources, Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation, Senate Committee on Appropriations and House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
