Elizabeth Gibson

Elizabeth Gibson is Managing Counsel for Toyota, based in the national headquarters of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. in Torrance, California. Ms. Gibson is a leader in the development, coordination and implementation of Toyota’s environmental public policy positions in the United States. She has been an instrumental part of a team within Toyota working to harmonize federal and state fuel economy and greenhouse gas regulations. She provides strategic legal advice on issues relating to Toyota’s advanced technology vehicles and works on efforts to coordinate advanced technology vehicle planning with consumer market readiness and development of federal and state infrastructure. Ms. Gibson has been practicing law for over 25 years. Her practice covers a wide range of automotive issues including complex, business and environmental litigation. Prior to joining Toyota, Ms. Gibson was a partner with the law firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and the University of Michigan Law School.
