Mark Rayder

Mark Rayder is a senior policy advisor in Alston & Bird’s Washington, D.C. office. He provides policy and political expertise on a variety of health care issues, and assists clients in developing, designing and implementing their legislative and regulatory strategy. Before joining the firm, Mr. Rayder served in the public, political, corporate, and non-profit sectors. Most recently he was vice president of public policy for the American College of Gastroenterology and prior to that was senior manager of government affairs at a Fortune 50 telecommunications corporation. Mr. Rayder was a legislative advisor to Congressman Tom Latham of Iowa, which included serving as his associate staff to the House Commerce, Justice, State, and Judiciary Appropriations Subcommittee. Prior to that, he served as a legislative assistant to New Jersey Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen and as an aide to Congressman Dean Gallo, also of New Jersey, and managed two successful congressional campaigns. Mr. Rayder received a B.A. in history from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
