John De Oliveira

John De Oliveira serves as Controller at Slate Property Group. In this role, John oversees all aspects of the company's accounting activities; including reporting and financial records, oversight of the accounting personnel, and manage outsourced functions. Prior to joining Slate Property Group, he served as Controller at a family owned Real Estate Owner and Management Company, where he was responsible for the accounting activities for an estimated one thousand residential units and four hundred thousand square feet of commercial space. John began his career in 2001 as a public auditor. During his seven years as a public auditor John gained hands-on perspective on the challenges facing various industries, including Construction, Real Estate, Non-for-Profit and Distributors. His expertise included auditing and reviewing middle market client base with revenues estimated from $1 million to $100 million. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Hofstra University. John is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
