Design Principal with Ayers Saint Gross, an Interdisciplinary Design Firm.Began career working in New York City in 1975 for Richard Meier, and then for Perry Dean Rodgers in Boston from 1977 to 1983. In 1984, Moved to Baltimore to join what was then known as Ayers Saint Architects. Became a Principal in the firm when the company consisted of 8 people. The firm now a staff of 180 professionals in multiple offices including Baltimore, Washington DC, and Tempe Arizona. Has taught at several architectural schools, most recently at Rodger Williams University. Was formerly the Fay Jones Chair in Architecture at the University of Arkansas and the Kea Distinguished Professor of Architecture at the University of Maryland.Was a visiting scholar at The American Academy in Rome in 2014. Married to his wife Fredye who is immersed in the Arts, most notably as a Board Member at the Maryland Institute College of Art and The Baltimore Design School. Has two daughters - Perry who is a fabric artist studying to be an acupuncturist and Kyle who works in data analytics in Washington DC.
