Arlene Shaw

Arlene Shaw was appointed to the Board on January 27, 2011 and reappointed on March 23, 2015. Mrs. Shaw is a Director at Brightwood Capital Advisors, LLC in the Legal and Compliance department. Brightwood Capital Advisors, LLC provides debt and equity capital solutions to U.S.-based companies with EBITDA of $5 million to $75 million. Managing multiple investment funds, Brightwood oversees two Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) vehicles and other funds focused on providing capital solutions for U.S. companies in five core areas: Tech/Media/Telecom, Healthcare Services, Business Services/Industrials, Energy Services and Franchising. Previously, Mrs. Shaw was a corporate finance associate at the law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP where her practice focused on commercial and corporate finance, including syndicated credit facilities, public and private offering of debt securities, asset backed and cash flow financing, secured and unsecured financings, subordinated and mezzanine financing, and leveraged and acquisition financing. Mrs. Shaw received a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School and a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany.
