Brian Robinson serves as Director, Government Relations and Counsel at Van Scoyoc Associates, Inc. (VSA). His primary responsibilities with VSA include close contact with the firm’s clients and with congressional and agency staff, research and analysis of a broad range of federal issues, and public relations. Robinson works in coordination with VSA Vice President Anita Estell on a variety of client activities. Prior to joining VSA, Robinson was a senior legislative assistant and legislative counsel to California Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald. During this time, his main focus was related to the Congresswoman's Transportation and Infrastructure Committee assignment. Robinson also worked on judiciary issues, veterans’ affairs, defense issues and environmental policy. Prior to joining Congresswoman Millender-McDonald's staff, he served as a legislative assistant to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas. A native of Washington, D.C., Robinson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from La Salle University, and his Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University. Brian is a Captain in the United States Army Reserve, having recently served a one-year tour of duty in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
