David A Savner

Savner joins the company from the Jenner & Block law firm in Chicago, where he was co-chairman of the corporate department and a member of the firm's executive committee. Jenner & Block has been General Dynamics' outside counsel since the 1960s; Savner had been senior outside counsel to the company since 1991, leading the legal team on each of General Dynamics' six acquisitions over the past three years. At Jenner & Block, Savner concentrated on corporate and securities law, representing publicly owned and privately held corporations as well as investment and commercial banks on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring. Savner received both his bachelor's degree and J.D. degree from Northwestern University. He is a member of the American and Chicago Bar Associations, and the Chicago Council of Lawyers.
