Anne Marie Polak provides legislative analysis and support on issues related to biotechnology and health care. Before coming to the Podesta Group, she gained valuable experience on Capitol Hill and throughout Washington. While on Capitol Hill, Anne Marie worked in the Office of Congressman Mike Ferguson (R-NJ) where she focused on bioethics, human rights, science, and agriculture. In addition, she served as the scheduler for then-Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX). Anne Marie also worked in the Administration for Labor Secretary Elaine Chao and in the Office of the United States Trade Representative under Ambassador Robert Zoellick. On the campaign trail, she handled the Republican platform while working in the policy department for the 2004 Bush-Cheney campaign.
