Robert Smittcamp

Bob Smittcamp, a prominent Valley philanthropist and businessman, died in March 4 2021 at the age of 79. Smittcamp was the former CEO of foods product company Lyons Magnus and was co-owner of fruit company Wawona Packing. Smittcamp was also well known as a philanthropist, including donating millions to Community Medical Centers, and as a major political donor. Robert E. Smittcamp has been a Director of AIG American General, Inc. since 1990 and has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Lyons-Magnus Co. Inc. since 1971. Mr. Smittcamp has been co-owner of Wawona Frozen Foods, Inc. since 1987 and Wawona Orchards since 1960. He is also a Director of Lyons Transportation Co.
