Patrick Murphy

Patrick M. Murphy joins mCapitol Management as a Senior Vice President, bringing 25 years of experience helping corporate and public sector clients raise their profile and focus legislative attention on their business needs. Mr. Murphy, a former western state legislator and Carter Administration appointee, maintains an active role in the future of the Democratic Party at both the federal and state levels. His ever-expanding base of contacts with established and emerging political leaders reinforces his ability to develop successful policy initiatives and execute winning strategies. Mr. Murphy remains a central figure in candidate recruitment and mentoring rising political leaders at the state and federal levels. His Capitol Hill townhouse is a favored location for state party, gubernatorial and congressional gatherings of Democratic insiders. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Mr. Murphy had an accomplished public service career serving two terms in the Nevada Legislature. While attending the University of Nevada, Reno, he served on the Nevada Board of Education and the Nevada State Crime Commission.
