James D Wareham

Jamie Wareham is the global chair of Paul Hastings' litigation practice and in that capacity supervises approximately 300 litigators. He has served as lead counsel on behalf of multi-national public companies, boards of directors, and senior executives in the defense of securities class actions, whistle-blower cases, government investigations, corporate criminal internal investigations and complex civil litigation matters. Mr. Wareham currently represents, among others: UBS Investment Bank; Chevron Corporation; AMEC plc; Solutia, Inc.; the former CEO of Fannie Mae; Arbitron Inc. in connection with an investigation being conducted by the New York Attorney General; the Special Litigation Committee of the Board of Directors of Tropicana Entertainment LLC; a hedge fund in connection with an investigation being conducted by the New York Attorney General; the CEO of a publicly-traded corporation in the housing industry; a major food processor in connection with a wide-ranging criminal probe; the audit committee of a Fortune 30 technology company; and the audit committee of a NASDAQ company involved in option backdating investigations.
