Patrice Simms is currently an Assistant Professor at Howard University School of Law. From February 2010 until August 2011, Professor Simms served in a political appointment with the Obama administration as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and over the course of his career he has served as a staff attorney in the EPA's Office of General Counsel (Air and Radiation Law Office), as a legal counsel to EPA's Environmental Appeals Board, and as a Senior Attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council. He received his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., and a B.S. in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, M.A.
