Bernard Patashnik

Bernard Patashnik, Senior Health Advisor, joined the firm after a distinguished career at the Health Care Financing Administration (now CMS). In his last position, he was the director of the Division of Medical Services Payment with responsibility for Medicare policy for services paid under the physician, clinical laboratory and durable medical equipment fee schedules. Previously, Mr. Patashnik served as the Director of the Division of Institutional Services Reimbursement, where he was responsible for development of policies and procedures for reimbursing hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies. At MARC Associates, he has assisted clients on a range of regulatory and operational issues involving payment, coverage and coding for services in ambulatory and institutional settings. Mr. Patashnik received a BA in economics from Brooklyn College and has taken graduate courses in Health Care Economics and Administration at George Washington University.
