Tanya Morrison, Senior Associate, brings to The Rhoads Group a wealth of Capitol Hill experience in legislative strategy, floor operations and an expertise on variety of public policy issues. Tanya excels at supporting clients across the firm's practice areas with legislative strategy and political advocacy. A former aide to several members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Tanya was most recently the Senior Legislative Assistant to a member of the Georgia Delegation, where she was responsible for developing strategy and offering guidance on advancing the Congressman's highly active legislative and appropriations agenda. During her tenure on Capitol Hill, Tanya focused on healthcare, agricultural and environmental policy as well as trade and judiciary issues; and was also responsible for coordinating the Congressman's appropriations activity. Tanya's career in Washington began on the staff of her hometown Congressman, former Representative, Bob Riley of Alabama. Tanya served Congressman Riley in a variety of legislative and administrative positions, and in 2002, when Congressman Riley was elected Governor of Alabama, Tanya continued her work and served on his Inaugural Committee until returning to Capitol Hill later that year. Tanya is a veteran of numerous political campaigns at the state and federal level. A native of Alabama, Tanya is a graduate of the University of Georgia, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
