John L Townsend III

John L. Townsend, III private investor and outside member of the Riverstone Group, a private investment fund. Mr. Townsend also serves as senior advisor to Stone Point Capital, a private investment fund that manages the Trident Funds. Mr. Townsend was previously employed by Goldman Sachs & Co. from 1987 to 2002 and was a general partner from 1992 to 1999 and a managing director from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Townsend is a director of Belk, Inc., a department store retailer, and Castle Point Capital, an asset manager sponsored by the Trident Funds. Director since March 13, 2006.
