Al Karnig

Karnig, who was born in March 1942, became the third president of CSUSB in 1997 and retired in 2012. The child of immigrants, Karnig spoke only Armenian until he started school. Before coming to San Bernardino, Karnig was provost at the University of Wyoming and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Arizona State University.
