Atlanta businessman Bill Taggart, recently named the interim president of Morehouse College, died suddenly of an aneurysm late Wednesday night June 7 2017. Before joining Morehouse, Taggart served as CEO of the Atlanta Life Financial Group, one of the city’s most prominent African-American companies over the decades. Taggart, 55, had been serving as COO of Morehouse when President John S. Wilson was removed by the Morehouse board of trustees in April, which Taggart became the interim president.
