Dave Becky is a partner (talent and literary manager) at 3 Arts Entertainment. Prior to this, they were a production assistant at Mills James, where they provided administrative and field support for ten individual Producers. Dave also produced multiple “one-man crew” projects, requiring him to organize logistics, shoot, edit, and deliver finished video for client-approval. Before that, they were a freelance editor at FKP Architects, Inc. and Scott Rudin Productions. Dave also has experience as a producer and assistant director, having worked on Broadview Features Development and Union Furnace. Dave Becky attended Miami University, where they earned a BA in English Literature & Psychology. Dave then went on to Emerson College to earn a Bachelor of Arts Program in Marketing Communications; Advertising and Public Relations. Lastly, they attended the University of California, Los Angeles Summer Film Production Program to study Film and Television. Mr. Becky arguably wields even more power in comedy than Louis C.K. He represents Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Amy Poehler and other top performers, and his company, 3 Arts, puts together programming deals for nearly every platform. Dave Becky, partner at 3 Arts Entertainment, plays an integral role in the development and production of both television and film properties, as well as shepherding the careers of some of today’s actors, writers and comedians. Becky was born in Montana and raised in California. After starting his career in entertainment as a comedy club manager at the Improv in San Diego, Becky moved to Los Angeles to become a segment producer on Dennis Miller’s syndicated talk show. He then joined 3 Arts Entertainment in 1994 as a talent manager specializing in the representation of writers and performers. Becky subsequently branched into film and television production. In addition to Louie, Becky is currently producing Comedy Central’s Broad City and BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood alongside Kevin Hart. Becky’s executive producing credits also include: Everybody Hates Chris (UPN), Bored to Death (HBO) and Lucky Louie (HBO). He has also produced comedy specials from Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari and Bill Burr. Becky resides in Los Angeles with his family.
