Michael Lazarus is an associate in the Telecommunications and Media Group of Paul Hastings' Washington, DC office. Mr. Lazarus advises domestic and international clients in the telecommunications industry on transactional and regulatory matters and represents them before the Federal Communications Commission and state and local regulatory bodies. His experience includes: FCC regulations applicable to wireless providers, wireline carriers, and broadcasters; major telecommunications acquisitions involving antitrust implications before the FCC and the Department of Justice; and participating in distant signal copyright royalty proceedings before the Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel. Mr. Lazarus is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, where he graduated with distinction in political science in 1999. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2002.
