Mark Franzen

Mark Franzen joins the GLA board after retiring from Milliman IntelliScript, a software and services company that he founded and led since 2001. Prior to that, he served as a vice president and actuary with Trustmark Insurance Co. As of 2020, Franzen is a partner in the Green Lake hotel group, which owns the Heidel House on Green Lake. Mark Franzen, double majored in physics and mathematics at Ripon College, and went on to receive his Ph.D. and Master of Science. in mathematics from Northwestern University. Mark spent the first three years of his professional career as a math professor at the University of California-Los Angeles. He went on to found IntelRx, a software company which was acquired by Milliman in 2005. Mark recently retired as principal and managing director of Milliman IntelliScript and has served on the Ripon College Board of Trustees since 2010.
