Senator from Kansas elected in November 2020. Former US Representative for Kansas' 1st district. First elected in 2016 Roger Marshall is currently the Dean of Kansas's House Delegation. On September 7, 2019, he announced his bid for the U.S. Senate in 2020, for the seat being vacated by Pat Roberts. A medical doctor, he also served seven years in the United States Army Reserve reaching the rank of captain. His first foray into national politics was in 2016 when he defeated fellow Republican and incumbent Tim Huelskamp and ran unopposed in the general election.
