Melody Birmingham-Byrd

Birmingham-Byrd is president of Indiana's largest electric utility. Previously, she was SVP of the company's Midwest delivery operations, and prior to the merger between Duke Energy and Progress Energy in 2012, she was VP of the Southern Region for Progress Energy Carolinas. She currently serves on the boards of the Indiana Electric Association, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics Indiana, and the American Association of Blacks in Energy.
