Originally a native of California, Nic grew up surfing and playing beach volleyball but traded in his board when he decided to go to Louisiana State University. He became fully immersed in all that Louisiana has to offer and developed an understanding and appreciation for the diversity in this State while working on various Gubernatorial and Congressional campaigns. Nowadays, he tends to do more hunting and fishing, but still enjoys vacationing in places where he can jump back in the ocean. Having been an Eagle Scout, Nic loves to go camping and hiking and continues to volunteer with some of the local troops in our area. Nic serves as Director of Policy for The Picard Group. Prior to being with us at TPG, he worked for three years in the Louisiana State Senate as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Neil Riser as well as Senator Jody Amedee. From his time spent in the Capitol, he brings a wealth of knowledge concerning the legislative process in the State of Louisiana and an understanding of a multitude of issues, both State and Local. Nic graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While in school he became a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and served on the Interfraternity Council as Vice President of Standards. He continues his community involvement as a member of “the705” Young Professionals in Lafayette, Louisiana and as Chair of State Government Day on the Program Committee for Leadership Lafayette. Nic is a Leadership Lafayette Class XXVIII graduate. Nic also sits on the Board for Junior Achievement of Acadiana and supported Lafayette Education Foundation’s ReProm as a court member. To complement his work at The Picard Group, Nic participates in the Governmental Subcommittee of OneAcadiana, our regional Chamber of Commerce.
