Paltrow, who is divorced, was sentenced in January 2015 on two counts in federal district court in western Pennsylvania. IRS investigators say Robert Paltrow improperly claimed personal expenditures as business expenses when he was president of North American Communications in Blair County, Pa., according to newspaper reports. He and Michael Herman of Hollidaysburg, Pa. — another executive facing similar charges — resigned from the company when the allegations surfaced last spring. Herman also pleaded guilty, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Robert Paltrow’s former company is in the bulk-mail marketing business.
