Van B Honeycutt

Honeycutt is the first leader of an information technology company to chair the NSTAC, an organization responsible to provide industry-based analyses and re-commendations to the president on security and telecommunications issues. He succeeds Charles R. Lee, chairman and CEO of the GTE Corporation, who served as the NSTAC chair for the past 18 months. Honeycutt was appointed to NSTAC in April 1995. Honeycutt joined CSC in 1975. After serving in a variety of management positions, he was named corporate vice president and president of CSC's Industry Services Group in 1987. In 1993 he was promoted to president and chief operating officer of CSC and, in 1995, was named CSC chairman, president and CEO. A native of Virginia, Honeycutt earned a B.S. in business administration from Franklin University in Ohio, and completed Stanford University's Executive Graduate Program in 1984.
