Stephen W Zucker

Attended DePaul University LLB 1966 and DePaul University JD 1969. In 2011, Steve was the first agent to be inducted into the Chicago Sports Hall of Fame. Zucker grew up as a protege of the late Illinois State Sen. Robert Cherry and worked Chicago precinct politics in the 46th Ward, where he once considered running for alderman. He became Richard Elrod`s right-hand man in the city corporation counsel`s office during the Days of Rage in the aftermath of the tumultuous 1968 Democratic National Convention. In those days, he prosecuted Dick Gregory and the Rev. Jesse Jackson, a mere activist then, as well as the late Abbie Hoffman-on misdemeanor charges of breaching the city peace. Zucker went into the private practice of law in 1972 and entered sports agency after meeting Bears QB Jim McMahon through a mutual friend. Husband for 48 years of Shelly Zucker, nee Young; son of the late Mildred and Herbert Zucker. Son-in-law of the late Naomi and Herb Young; father of Neal (Marko Iglendza) Zucker, Herbie Zucker, Jennifer Healy, and Tory (Randy) Boyer; brother of Patti (Howard) Penner; brother-in-law of Alan (Cara) Young; treasured uncle and friend to many.
